There are over 200 golf courses through out the country, they can be found in the beautiful landscape,like on seasideview,by the rain forest, on mountains, and even on tropical islands. Many of these courses are equipped with the best facilities and are mostly well maintained. Malaysia will make your golfing an unforgettable experience.
Golf courses in Malaysia has variety of grasses to play on the fairway. The older courses consist of Cowgrass planted during colonial rule and those latest courses are with Bermuda Tifway covering the the fairway and rough and bermuda tifdwarf on the greens."
"The average speed of Malaysian greens is between 6-8 on the Stimpmeter. But in a small number of courses, the speed can rise to as high as 10. However, the golf courses in Malaysia generally do not have fast greens.

As I am a golfer myself,and has been golfing for the past 20 years. Malaysia is a country which offer world class golf courses at very affordable price. Furthermore, the currency Ringgit is quite low valued,compare to other currencies.So it is price worthy for tourist to golf in Malaysia. Many golf courses also offer night golfing.

Malaysia´s golf courses are mostly frequent by our Asian neighbors. Singaporeans topped the list of foreign golfers in Malaysia, followed by Japanese, South Korean and Chinese. I guess it's just because the price is very competetive comparing to other destinations.
Currently India and China are the emerging markets, economy is booming in this part of the world. So people can afford to travel and take up golfing.
